Pickles at Forté Honolulu: Indoor Pickleball Guide (2026)

Pickles at Forté is one of Honolulu’s major indoor pickleball facilities. This guide covers the courts, memberships, reservations, parking, clinics, and what players should know before visiting in 2026.

I was one of the lucky players invited for the free first month, and the courts were packed from early morning until closing time.

Several months later, Pickles opened a second floor with eight more courts, making it the largest indoor pickleball facility in the state of Hawaii—with a total of 14 indoor courts.

I’ll share my experience, along with feedback from other players, about what they loved—and what they’d like to see improved—at Hawaii’s first indoor pickleball facility.

About the Venue

The Pickles at Forté venue is clean, well-lit, and feels genuinely inviting from the moment you walk in. The facility has six pickleball courts on the lower floor and eight on the second floor. The ground-level courts are made from a softer rubber material, which feels easier on the joints and slows the ball down just enough to keep rallies smooth. The upstairs courts, on the other hand, are painted concrete — it looks like they used a leveling compound before adding the pickleball court layers. Because of that, the second-floor courts play a bit differently, offering a slightly faster bounce.

The biggest drawback, though, is the ceiling height. It’s quite low on both floors, which makes lobbing almost impossible. The lighting is bright and modern, but depending on where you’re standing, it can take a few games for your eyes to adjust — I definitely missed a few balls during my first match because of it.

On the positive side, the nets are sturdy and high-quality, and each court is separated by low dividers to keep balls from rolling over. In some sections, they’ve even added full netting from floor to ceiling to stop stray balls from crossing into other courts, which helps keep play organized and safe.

How can I reserve a court?

Pickles now has a direct online court-booking portal. Reservations booked through that portal include up to four players; additional players pay the applicable day-pass rate.

Membership level determines how many advance court reservations are included each week and how far ahead you can book. The current plans range from one reservation per week for Student members to five reservations per week for Family members.

If you do not want to reserve a private court, current open play runs every day from 6:30 AM until closing. Pickles currently dedicates two courts to open play.

Group and Private lessons

If you’d like to improve your pickleball game, Pickles currently offers a changing schedule of clinics, beginner programs, skill-building sessions, ball-machine instruction, and other coached activities.

Because the clinic calendar and prices vary by program, I would check Pickles at Forté’s current clinic schedule rather than rely on an older flat lesson price. Their September 2026 schedule includes beginner skill builders, intermediate skill labs, guided beginner open play, serve-and-return clinics, ball-machine sessions, and drill-and-play programs.

Memberships such as Monthly, Premium, Elite, Family, Student and Junior currently include discounts on lessons and clinics.

Employees

Golf Simulator

Pickles’ Par, the indoor golf simulator located inside the facility, is currently priced at $20 per hour for pickleball members and $50 per hour for visitors. Some Premium and Elite pickleball memberships also include one 1.5-hour golf simulator reservation each week.

Changing/ Restroom Facilities

Food & Retail Options

Aloha Bakehouse & Coffee is now the food and coffee option inside Pickles at Forté. The previous Teapresso setup is no longer there.

If you want coffee, baked goods, or something to eat before or after playing, Aloha Bakehouse & Coffee is the current option at the facility. Because food-service hours can change separately from pickleball facility hours, I recommend checking the current café hours when you visit.

Parking

Pickles uses the Forté Garage at 1031 Bethel St., Honolulu. Pickles currently states that members receive two hours of complimentary validated parking, while the Elite membership includes four hours of parking validation.

One important detail if you play late: the Bethel Street lobby door locks at 7:00 PM and reopens at 5:00 AM. Keep your parking ticket with you for re-entry or contact the Pickles front desk. The garage itself closes at 10:00 PM, and vehicles cannot enter to park after that time.

Parking policies can change, so check the facility’s current parking page before visiting.

Event Reservations at Pickles at Forté

Pickles continues to host corporate gatherings, team-building sessions, fundraisers, clinics, and private events. Current event pricing is not listed publicly on the main events page, so contact Pickles directly at pickles@fortedoho.com or (808) 758-4683 for a current quote.

Cancellation & No-Show Policy

Pickles’ current reservation policy requires court reservations to be cancelled at least four hours in advance. Late-cancellation fees increase as the reservation gets closer: $10 at four hours, $15 at three hours, $20 at two hours, and $25 at one hour or less.

Court reservations have a 15-minute grace period. A no-show is currently subject to a $35 fee and loss of that reservation for the week.

Lessons and clinics must be cancelled by 5:00 PM the evening before the scheduled session. Later cancellations are currently subject to a 75% cancellation penalty based on the listed fee.

Should you join Pickles at Forté

Does it make sense to join Pickles at Forté, or should you just pay the daily visit fee? Honestly, it depends on what you’re looking for.

The facility is air-conditioned on the ground level, which is a huge plus in Hawaii’s heat. However, the upper level lacks AC and can get really hot. The facility also lacks showers.

If your main goal is to play intense, competitive games with friends, outdoor courts might be a better fit. The open air, higher ceilings, and island sun help build stamina and feel more like “classic” pickleball.

However, if you prefer a clean, comfortable space where you can reserve a court and know you’ll get your time to play — rain or shine — then Pickles at Forté is worth considering.

In the end, it really comes down to your priorities and what kind of playing experience you value most.
