Honolulu is the center of the largest concentration of pickleball options on Oʻahu. You can play outdoors near Waikīkī, join evening open play at Ala Moana, use dedicated public courts at Keʻehi Lagoon, or play indoors at Pickles at Forté.

Honolulu Open Play
Open play is one of the easiest ways for visitors or newer residents to meet players. Current recurring Honolulu-area sessions include Diamond Head every morning, Ala Moana on Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday evenings, Petrie on Monday/Tuesday/Friday evenings, McCully District Park indoors on Saturday mornings, and Washington Middle School on alternating Sundays.

Private Club Pickleball
The Pacific Club is a private Honolulu club with four paddle-tennis courts; current reciprocal-club material says two are specifically lined for pickleball. Access is through membership, eligible reciprocal-club privileges, or an invited member guest.
Pickleball Lessons & Clinics in Honolulu
If your goal is improvement rather than simply finding games, choose the training format based on what you need. Private lessons give the coach the most time to focus on one player's technique. Group lessons and clinics cost less per person and are useful for live doubles patterns.

Monthly Clinics

Pickleball Tournaments in Honolulu & Oʻahu
The Hawaii Pickleball Open® was held August 29–30, 2026 at King Intermediate in Kāneʻohe. The next major Honolulu event on the current calendar is the 2026 Hawaii Pacific Health ESPN Honolulu Open, scheduled for October 8–11, 2026 at the Hawaiʻi Convention Center.

Can Tourists Play Pickleball in Honolulu?
Yes. Public City courts are not limited to Hawaiʻi residents, and organized open play is one of the easiest ways to find games without already knowing local players. Read the organizer's level description before joining and bring your own paddle whenever possible.
