Pickleball on Oʻahu: Courts, Clubs, Open Play & Coaching
Oʻahu has the broadest mix of pickleball options in Hawaiʻi: free City courts, volunteer-run open play, indoor pickleball, private clubs, university recreation, lessons, clinics, memberships, and major tournaments.
Current information checked September 2026Honolulu DPR currently lists 36 dedicated public pickleball courts, with the majority of other locations using multi-use courts with permanent pickleball lines but no permanent nets.
If you are new to the island, the easiest way to start is to decide what you actually need: a public court, organized open play, structured coaching, indoor play, or a private/community-club environment.
Public Pickleball Courts on Oʻahu
Honolulu DPR’s current list includes 198 pickleball courts across 96 City parks. Only 36 are dedicated public pickleball courts, so at many parks you will need a portable net even though permanent pickleball lines are already painted.

Oʻahu Pickleball Open Play
The Oahu Pickleball Association Meetup remains one of the most useful current resources for recurring public games. Its calendar organizes sessions by day, location, and skill level, and currently includes thousands of local and visiting members.
Current OPA-listed sessions include locations such as Diamond Head, Ala Moana, Petrie, Keʻehi Lagoon, McCully, Washington Middle School, and other parks around the island. Because volunteer schedules can change, I do not repeat every time slot here.

Oahu Pickleball Association
OPA's Meetup is the simplest island-wide community calendar for organized public play and local pickleball events.
University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Recreation
UH Mānoa currently lists Fall 2026 pickleball at the UH Tennis Complex Monday–Thursday, 6:30–8:30 PM, weather permitting. Access is for eligible UH students, faculty/staff, and qualifying recreation members rather than general public drop-in.

Mililani Town Association — Recreation Center III
MTA's January 2026 rules list tennis/pickleball court hours at Rec Center III as daily 7:00 AM–9:00 PM. Access is tied to the Mililani Town Association community and its facility rules.

The Pacific Club
The Pacific Club is a private Honolulu social and athletic club. Current club-reference material describes four paddle-tennis courts, with two specifically lined for pickleball. Access is through membership, eligible reciprocal-club privileges, or a member guest.

We offer private lessons, group lessons, clinics, youth programs, after-school programs, TeamReach lesson groups, and tournaments around Oʻahu.

Hawaii Pickleball Membership
Our current annual membership is $200. It includes one private one-hour lesson with Honza, monthly member-only open play, priority event access, and 10% off Academy lessons, clinics, and tournaments.
Indoor Pickleball on Oʻahu
Pickles at Forté currently describes itself as Hawaiʻi's only indoor pickleball club. It is located at 1032 Fort Street Mall in downtown Honolulu and offers climate-controlled play, lessons, clinics, open play, court reservations, memberships, and events.

Public Indoor Gym Sessions
Oʻahu also has indoor pickleball in community gyms and recreation centers, but those schedules can be seasonal. Our open-play guide currently tracks verified or recently listed options such as McCully, Koko Head, Kailua, and Waipahu.
Pickleball Tournaments on Oʻahu
The 2026 Hawaii Pickleball Open® was held August 29–30 at King Intermediate in Kāneʻohe with more than 100 players.
The next major current Oʻahu event is the Hawaiʻi Pacific Health ESPN Honolulu Open, scheduled for October 8–11, 2026 at the Hawaiʻi Convention Center. Current organizers list more than 33 indoor courts and Amateur, Open, and Collegiate Invitational divisions.
